Children and young people in need have a legal right to participate.
The education and participation package aims to encourage and support children and young people from low-income families.
The educational package specifically supports children and young people whose parents are entitled to benefits under SGB II (in particular unemployment benefit II or social allowance), social assistance, benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act, child allowance or housing benefit, and thus opens up better life and development opportunities for them.
